Ryno co-founded Nova Site in September 2025 and does the work himself — design, front-end development, deployment and the hosting and domain side afterwards. He has designed and built sites for businesses in mining, construction, IT and networking, medical training, industrial supply, marketing, garden services, retail, printing, embroidery, dance and competitive swimming, as well as web apps: a booking system for engineering maintenance teams and Nova Site’s own admin dashboard.
He works in hand-written HTML, CSS and JavaScript rather than page builders, which is the reason Nova Site’s sites load as quickly as they do. The work runs from the first layout through to the parts most people never think about: responsive behaviour at every screen width, the forms, the domain, the SSL certificate and the maintenance once a site is live.
He is finishing Grade 12 at Hoërskool Waterkloof, taking Information Technology, Mathematics and Physical Sciences, and has been accepted to start the IIE Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences in Application Development at Emeris in 2027 — a three-year NQF Level 7 degree covering programming, web development, databases, cloud development and security. He also spent a stint as a part-time IT technician at PC Palace Group, and swims for his school’s A team.
He works in English and Afrikaans, and is the person every client deals with directly.
Nova Site was started with a second co-founder, who is no longer involved. Ryno now runs it on his own.
